Just finished watching a video of a program I taped on Tuesday 3rd Oct on channel 4 called
Diary of a mail order bride. It was quite an eyeopener. Apparently Russian women outnumber the men by 10.5 million, the gender imbalance was caused by the death rate in WW2 of Russian men. The subjects in the documentary are an English man of 50 or so, and a young woman half his age. He has only met her once before, but is engaged to her, and has invited her over to stay with him (she has a 6 months pass). He has nothing going for him IMO, (even his house is a tip) but she is very attractive. He gives her a kiss at the airport when she arrives here, and you can see she is not too keen.
