Moving house

towards the end of febuary I will be moving to a non cabled area due to the birth of my second son. (Need bigger house)

I will have around four months left on my current contract at this time and was wondering how it works as I will be unable to take the new services with me. (Thank god)

Are ntl going to send me a big bill to my new property for any remainder and will they disconnect my services in the old property as it is still under contract as the new tenants will have a field day moving in to sky and broadband ready and waiting.

Re: Moving house

officially, you are tied into the contract for 12months, however ntl do use discretion when people move to non cabled areas. When the time comes, contact ntl and see what they say!

Tbh it depends on what 'unable' means. If you are moving off-net or in with someone who has already made other provisions for services then the move can be processed with 30 days notice to give

Re: Moving house

Well where I was planning to move to was outside ntl's area. In other words no cable available!

Anyway I have decided to put the move on hold for a little bit so I guess I will be staying with NTL for a little while longer.
