Re: 50 quid?

Not sure, but I think it's ntl policy to take an extra month in the first and last month of providing the service.

Can anyone advise if this is policy or just what happens sometimes?

Re: 50 quid?

Pro rata means that if you start part way through a billing period, then instead of being chaged the full months charge, the system will work out what proportion of the month you had the service for and charge you that proportion of the monthly charge.

e.g. service charges £30 per month and runs billing form 1st-last day of the month. You start your service on the 11th November, you will actually be charged £20 for the first month. (20 days until the end of the month)

Looking at the figures you provided, you appear to have been charged the £25 + most of the months £25.99 although why you've had the monthly charge added when it supposed to be free is anyones guess.

Re: 50 quid?

Basically they charge you a month in advance, so your first bill usually charges you from the day you were installed, and depending on your actual billing date on the system which can can be upto a month after your install. There for your first bill will have the month from the date you were installed as well as the month in advance.

You should find that next months bill will be back to a single charge of £24.99.

When I was installed my billing date was 4 days after the install date so my first bill had the month in advance as well as the 4 days.

hope that helps.

ps. it looks like they have forgotten to add the discount??
