Loyalty Discount

Thinking about moving to premiere collection from current BB-M, Tv-XL, phone XL. Currently receive alleged loyalty discount of £22.50. Current monthly charge £54.50. If I move to premiere collection will I still receive loyalty discount, or will I be charged full price of £58.50. Anybody had any experience of this?

Re: Loyalty Discount

If the loyalty discount is part of a deal you got from retentions (thinking of leaving us), then go back to them and the loyalty discount should stay there. A friend did the same and kept the discount when he changed the package 2 times during the discount period.

Re: Loyalty Discount

I reduced my services in january and was given a £10 loyalty discount by retentions. in april sales contacted me about the premier collection (what I had downgraded to was almost the same as premier apart from the BB) and offered me it for 48.90pm so you should have no problem keeping it just make sure tou mention it when you call them.

Re: Loyalty Discount

They give you what they can, and don't necessarily refer to it as loyalty discount. They will just give you an overall price really and won't necessarily break it down for you.

Not to nit pick but on my bill it states in the promotins section 'You'Re Receiving A £10 Loyalty Discount. If You Change Your Package You May Lose This Discount Which Will End 04-APR-14'

Re: Loyalty Discount

Ditto, got the discount until February 2014, but went back to retentions when I had to upgrade the phone line and they kept the discount in, so if you have that sort of deal then it is always best to go back to them as they can keep the discount in, from experience anyway.

Re: Loyalty Discount

I rang up last night and asked to go on the Premiere collection and was quoted £74 pcm plus £49.95 installation for 500Gb Tivo

Told them not to bother

(I expected the £49.95 installation but £74 is taking the mickey)

As the actual cost of the Premiere Collection is only £45 then there's no way you were told it would cost £74! I assume you/they meant VIP collection, which is normally £90. So you could probably get that for £74; which is not a bad deal.

Re: Loyalty Discount

I asked for premiere and he repeated premiere back to me

I was expecting £45 ish plus £13 phone line = £ 58

He did quote me £74

---------- Post added at 09:57 ---------- Previous post was at 09:52 ----------

I told him it was more than I was expecting and I didn't want to continue with the change and hung up - he rang me back within a couple of minutes asking why and I repeated that it was more than I was prepared to pay and hung up again

Re: Loyalty Discount

Well I knew that VM had problems with some CS agents but for one to quote TWICE THE PRICE that anyone else is expected to pay is incomprehensible

Re: Loyalty Discount

I may try again tonight - I was too gobsmacked at what I was being quoted last night to argue or refer them to the website prices

My Wife was looking forward to having the 2nd hd Box (Can you keep the current V+ box in place of the 2nd HD box - is this recommended?)

I wonder if he assumed that you wanted to keep phone XL which would make the cost £74

Possibly - I rang this afternoon and explained that I wanted to be transferred over to the Premiere collection - cost is £58 as expected and they are coming on Friday
