Question for VM staff
Hi there,
I apologise if I am posting in the wrong section but I wasn't sure where to pose this question.
In a couple of weeks time I am going for my interview for a role with Virgin Media having passed the initial phone assessment.
Had a brief spell with NTL over ten years ago, time with BT and figured why not.
Was wondering if a member of staff could either PM me or openly discuss potential discounts for the broadband, phone, tv etc specifically how it works with having sky movies and sports.
I was given a quick figure for XXL BB , Tv and phone and was stunned. Just wasn't made clear how it relates to premium addons like movies and such.
I didn't want to push the issue over the phone initially, he had an interview he wanted to get through.

I know the price for the top tier broadband, phone and regular tv.
Do you get discounted premiums?

Re: Question for VM staff
How long do you have to be employed before getting the discount?
Strong possibility we could be in our new house before starting the new job, so I would have already ordered everything.

Usually once you are confirmed as permanent as the minimum contract would be 12 months so little point in giving the discount beforehand.
We have all been down this route and you are not allowed until this point, it took me 6 months to get my staff package and if you already have your own package they just switch it over for you.

I was told you cannot have staff package until you are out of your 3 months probation period

Exactly but getting it can take up to 6 months but it is worth it for the price we pay for just 30Mb

Quite rare as you may not have stayed with the company so not really a great example more a lucky one.
I will get to keep mine for a while possibly 6 months and after that I think possibly Vonage beckons for my phone line, glad I do not have any movies channels.

I would need someone still working for the company and most will be gone shortly so not overly bothered as the is no way that I will go down from 30Mb to less than 2Mb on a urine poor BT line.

Re: Question for VM staff
Going from 30mb to 2mb certainly wouldn't do unless you can get something to Masque over the performance.
