Thinking of changing package

Basically, I live with a relative (I moved in for a year whilst she was recovering from breast cancer and after she got better it just sort of turned into a permanent thing). Anyway, we have a V+HD box, with the XL TV, 10MB BB, and the free evening and weekend calls phone. We also have the Sports and Movies packages, and a couple of things added to the phone (like call barring to 090 numbers, voicemail and Caller Display). Anyway, the upshot is the last few bills have been over £100 and we are looking to cut the price down.

After seeing elsewhere on here the VIP50 package, I looked at it and have a few questions.

1. If we got the VIP50, would we get the £48 for 3 months then £87 a month as we are existing customers of Virgin or does it not matter?
2. Do we have to keep the V+HD box? We only really need one in the front room, and as such we would not want a second box anywhere else.
3. If we did get the package, would we still pay the £3 a month charge for the Tivo box?

Thanks for any answers, relative has lost her voice atm so cannot call Virgin until she is better as the account is in her name.
