My contract is about to expire

Just after a bit of advice really.

I have been a vm customer for 18 months and currently pay £43 per month for the following

10mb broadband
xl tv
phone line and weekend calls

First of all is that a good price for what i get? While i am more than happy with vm, but can save money by switching to sky, plus i will get 20mb broadband which is available in my area.

Are vm likely to match Sky by upping my broadband and offering the reduction or will i have to switch?

I am also a bit miffed that i tried to get a tivo a couple of months back but they refused to drop the installation fee, even though i am already set up for vm. A friend got free install and activation but they would not do it for me, even though i was willing to sign up for the new contract and pay an extra 3 quid a month.

What is the best way to approach this? When i phone VM?

cheers for any advice offered

Re: My contract is about to expire

The price does sound reasonable as you would i take it have been a new customer signing up when you got it.

The best thing to do is wait until your current deal runs out and call retentions only they can offer you anything and will want to re-contract you,i recently got a very good deal free installation of my TiVo,moved my current V+ into another room,no activation fee and a further £7 a month off my bundle i am now paying less then i was before i had TiVo, but i had to re-contract for another 12 months to get it.

Ring 150 from your VM phone option thinking of leaving us to speak with retentions uk call centre.
