Can I get BB L and TV M+ only?

Hello,

I am currently on a package that costs me roughly £ 90/month (incl. BB L, TV XL, Tel M, SkySports & Movies package, V+ HD and another standard box upstairs).

I have to downgrade significantly to cut costs and wanted to look into going for broadband and TV only, without the telephone line. Mind you, I failed to find a price for a bundle comprising BB L and TV M+. Isn´t that a bundle Virgin offer? I only found BB L and TV L for £ 33/month or £ 36/month incl. Tivo.

You should be able to have whatever combination you want.

I have always just told them what I want.

I'm sure there is a member of VM staff who can tell you if there is any minimum term of contract before you downgade.

The phone is VMs cash generator so any package without a phone is charged at a higher price meaning it is just as cheap within a few pounds (£2-£4) to have the phoneline,as it attracts a higher discount.

Which is why i keep my VM phoneline as without it i would only pay about £4 less and i can make that up on free weekend calls.

Ok, so I guess I will have to call CS to find out what they will charge for BBL, TVM+ and the phone line....

I downgraded to that package a while ago for a short time ,and i believe it was around £38 with the V+ charge of £5,if you deduct that it would be around £33 i am guessing hope this helps you.

TV L and BB L incl. the landline is 33/month so maybe I can get it down to 30 for TV M+. TV L doesn´t offer anything over TV M+ that I would be interested in so if I can save another pound or 2, then that´d be fine...

Just give them a ring DUS and select thinking of leaving us and speak to retensions and see what they can do,but beware being tied into another 12 month contract for the best discounts you usually are.

Have a talk to retentions. There are special deals available from them that are not available anywhere else. I think they still offer the 2meg BB S at a lower price than BB L, although the tier is heavily traffic managed.

2Mb is virtually the same price as 10Mb and in some cases even dearer so a false economy.

I was previously on basic BB and TV since disposing of my phone line some time around 2006 (three for £30)
At the time they had this bundle at £20
This increased to £22.50 and earlier this year to £25

This was still cheaper than the bundle you can create on the website

As Freeview has improved I could no longer see any benefit of TV M+
I sent an enquiry about BB only, but VM misunderstood this and terminated my TV service leaving me with BB only
Their loss!

You can only have TV M+ by itself or with a phoneline but not with BB only.

The reason for this is that VM do not offer its BB only customers the full set of discounts offered to its phone customers. In the case of tv, the cost of TV L is virtually the same as TV M+ as discount is only offered TL upwards for BB only customers.
