Changing Bill Payer

I have contacted Virgin media as i wanted to change the bill payer over from myself to my father as i no longer live there. We want to do this so that my father does not lose his email address for work purposes. He also wanted to change over to his name as he wanted to change his phoneline over in the new year from Bt on Virgin.

After talking with the indian call centre about changing over and that he did not want to lose his email, they then sent me an email saying that if he changed over he would lose his email.
They never sent the forms to me so we could change the bill payer over and we are reluctant to change bill payer as he does not want to lose his email address.

Anyone on this board working at Virgin media who can help me.I am also wanting to change over from sky and bt to virgin in my new address in the new year so if Virgin cannot sort this out , they are losing out on a new customer.

Re: Changing Bill Payer

Whenever you change the name, it's counted as a new account. So normally the e-mail address will disconnect.

Re: Changing Bill Payer

Does it matter who's name the account is in? As long as he can answer the security questions and has the account password then the email address will be left in place.. Then just change the direct-debit and basically he has full access.. As long as you're not defrauding VM and you're happy for it to still be in your name then there's not an issue. As for the phone number does BT care who's name is on the account as long as permission is given to VM for the transfer and it's at the same address???

This is where Virgin need to sort out there own staff. One person via email said that they will send me change of owner paperwork so that my father can keep the same email address (paperwork and add his bank details to your system(paperwork never arrived) and then via chat and yourself have told me the complete opposite that he will lose his email if the bill payer changes.
