Help with VIP

Hi,

I'm trying to help my Dad with his VirginMedia bill.

Currently he is on Virgin VIP and pays £105.95 per month. He has two extra standard boxes.

He has called them up because he wants rid of one extra box, they have told him that this will reduce his bill by £6.50.

I think that his package is expensive compared to mine. He gets a 20MB connection but has no TIVO box just an old V+ box.

I pay about £75 and have a 50MB connection and a TIVO box (but obviuosly no Sky Sports or Movies package).

I don't understand why they cant offer him a better deal either upgrading BB of a free TIVO box or both!!!

Could anyone check this and let me know a suitable plan of attack? His contract is up.

thanks

Mark

Re: Help with VIP

VIP 50 is £101.46 a month with two set top boxes. He could upgrade to that with a 500GB TiVo box for a £49.95 installation fee and £30 activation for the 50Mbit broadband

As part of the upgrade he could swap the SD box he's keeping for the TiVo box so he ends up with one TiVo box and one V+HD box

Re: Help with VIP

Okay, but how about he just cancels completely and then rejoins to get a half price deal as a new customer?

Re: Help with VIP

Well he can always talk to Customer Relations about what bundle options are available to him and if there is nothing suitable, then they can certainly cancel all the services for him

If he cancels he won't be able to rejoin as a new customer for a few months. I think it's 6?
