Unable to log in

The last few times I've tried to sign in to My Virginmedia I have been getting the following error message:

We're sorry, we're having a few technical problems. We're working to fix them so please try again later.

I thought I may have the wrong password but I've tried changing it but that also fails.

I have been trying this for a few days now.

Is this a general fault or is it just affecting me for some reason?

I just logged in so no problems here although I have had problems in the last day or so.

I thought I might have got my password wrong so just tried to reset it only to reach an Oops! Something's broken page. Very helpful.

If I follow the instructions in my bill notification email (received a few days ago) I am asked for a pin number, which I don't have. I ask to be sent a new pin only to be told they don't use pins anymore!

How did you attempt to change your password without logging into My Virgin Media? The password you use is the same as your primary mailbox so are you reading mail from it OK?

Are you a cable subscriber cos if you subscribe to the ADSL service it could be different.

I only have TV from VM so don't have a primary mailbox. I tried to change it by clicking on the forgotten password link. I answered all the questions ok only to be presented with the Ooops! page.

You could try a different browser. I use IE 9 but it wont let me look at bill details for which I use chrome otherwise it looks like the dreaded phone call.

Thanks for all your suggestions arcimedes. I've just made the dreaded phone call. They can't log me in either so they are going to spend the next 7-10 days pondering it!

There is an auto message on 150 stating that they are having problems. I can't get on to register for Spotify having been told to downgrade my premium service so I have no Spotify now.

Also,I was told that my password on my account is incorrect even though I've had the same one for years! She asked me a few security questions and reset it for me.

I frequently get that message when trying to access webmail, seems to be a bit hit and miss when it happens. It's been like that for well over a year.
