After a Second opinion

Hi All.

Been a long time reader of the forums, but needed to post this.

I am after some advice, I have been a long time Virgin customer (NTL)
Over the years have changed & tweeked the services that I have.

At the moment have XL TV ( with V+ box) , XL phone & 10mb Broadband.

With all the current advertising about the Tivo box i thought that would be good so rang up virgin and asked how much.

Managed to get the 1tb box for a 49.95 install ( activation fee) and an additional £3 per month.
Thought fine happy with this.

So Next couple of days get a contract through stating my monthly fee service charge had gone up £14.40 extra a month - bit different to £3

So on phone to VM eventually get to customer relations that agree yes on there screen all is correct at the £3 extra.
Will find out why paperwork is wrong,

Have also been thinking about upgrading BBB as well so asked how much to upgrade from the 10 to the next package.

Was told next BB was 20mb after some pushing got them to admit they are upgrading this to 30 soon as i could have this instead for a and extra £2.56.

Well worth it i thought.

OK hope you are following so far so i am expect to pay now and extra £5.56 extra per month,

Couple days later get the next updated contract for and £11 more per month than expecting then after 12 months would be an extra £20per month more.

They are saying they are going to honor the first offered price, but after the 12 month contract it will be £20 more per month.

Has anyone else experienced a situation like this and did you manage to get it resolved & how?

As i know from the start my question always was what will this cost me extra per month, not what is the promotional period for this offer.

Tempted to tell them to forget the whole thing.

Thoughts / advise please

If you have something on your bill like

Loyalty Pack Bb/ Phone/TV C

Then you are getting a discount because you have been so loyal.

But, if you upgrade, you lose that discount, it's in the small print.

I'm in the same boat.
