Disconnection due to death of friend
Hi, weren't sure where to post this, an elderly neighbour of ours has very recently passed, we were good friends and of course you then have all the 'bills' and utility companies to sort out. Where do we stand as far as disconnecting her services, she only had the free or medium tv package but she has xl telephone no internet. Her sister is almost 80 and she has enough to sort out at the moment so we said we would try and sort this out for her. Would virgin want a death certificate, and would they even speak to us? any advice greatly appreciated, thankyou. I do have her account number to hand.

Re: Disconnection due to death of friend
They will probably need to see a death certificate. You may also find that they need to speak to a family member, although I could be wrong.
Sorry for your loss, by the way.

I would advise calling Customer Relations tomorrow as soon afte 8am as possible on 150 from a Virginmedia phone line or 0845 454 1111 from any other phone, and choose option 5 option 2 and when it asks for a password just press zero and it will transfer you to an agent who will be able to advise you.
Sorry for your loss as well.

No death certificate is needed but it normally does have to come from a relative as far as I know
