how long ago did 50Mb drop in price

When did 50Mb without phone drop to £35 a month, as my contract ran out in February this year & I'm still paying £45 a month. Could someone from Virgin tell me why I'm still paying £45 a month when that is what is being charge for the 100MB service. Thanks.

I joined Virginmedia in December 2010 and I have only ever paid £35 a month. You need to find out the first date that they advertised 50Mb for £35 and claim a refund.

Its atleast December 2010 if you don't get a refund go to trading standards or offcom. I still have the flyer from when I signed up showing 50Mb for £35 if you need a scan emailed to you.

It shows £35 standalone or £37 including phoneline.

Do you have a bundle and/or any other discount on your bill, and if so, how much?

That bundle discount includes a BB discount - one of the VM'ers may be able to break it down for you.

re: how long ago did 50Mb drop in price

That discount would be £1.50 towards the TV and £20 towards the discount (when you had the phoneline)

So you were paying £25 for 50Mbit as advertised. You don't say what services you still have so can't advise what the total price will be

Just to point out from this month it's all about the total price. The discount lines no longer show up

No you are not, you are now paying £35 a month because you don't have a phone line.

The core services you have the price matches the bundle calculator:

Your bundle
£64.50

Your extras
£3.00

Total
£67.50

Your services
TV XL
Broadband XXL

TV extras
ESPN
TiVo Service

just looked at this bill & even with disount my 50MB BB works out at £38-50P not £35.

Your main services (Provided by Virgin Media Ltd or Virgin Media Payments Ltd) With Virgin Media, you pay for your services one month in advance. If your services are changed during the month, we'll adjust your next bill to reflect that.
For example, if you've replaced a core service that is less or more than what you were previously paying, you'll see that part period adjustment in this section of this bill. When a service is removed, we will refund you for the period you have not used. Similarly, when a new service is added we will charge you from the day you started receiving it, up until the period your last bill covered.

Re: how long ago did 50Mb drop in price

No you aren't.

TV XL costs £30.50 without a phoneline. £30.50 TV XL + £35 XX Broadband + £3 TiVo = £69.50. So you are still getting it £2 cheaper in total

QUOTE]Bundle chargesSee your package terms & conditions TV Size: X L TiVo Monthly Fee XXL 50Mb Broadband Bundle charges total£67.50 Premium TV channelsMovies4,Movies5,Sports1,Sports2 SkypremHD Bundle charges total£36.50[/QUOTE]

So you are not being overcharged, as you are being charged exactly the same price as the website says
