Loyalty Discount
I have been with ntl/virgin for about 5 years. I have never sought out any kind of loyalty discount. I have bundle of m+ tv, l broadband and m phone line, my wife and I both have virgin mobiles.
Times are getting a bit tough and I was wondering how I go about getting a loyalty discount, ( I have heard many say they get one) and how much would I expect to be deducted?
My last bill was £34.32.
Thanks in advance for any repsonse.

Re: Loyalty Discount
Theres isn't a loyalty discount mate, it goes down as a bundle discount so it'll say discount thats it. You seem to get a discount already judging by your total. Do you receive a paper bill? if so could you post up all advance charges, second page?

Re: Loyalty Discount
I have had the same bundle since I started with ntl/virgin. It was a triple. I never use the landline and I do not get a paper bill, always online. I will endeavour to log on and post my bill. I can never recall my log on details!

The current monthly, ongoing charge for your bundle is £33.99 so you are in the same ballpark.
For comparison, the price for a bundle with only BB L and TV M+ is £33 so the phone only costs an extra 99p.

I make that £33.90, slightly less than what I quoted above. So what is your issue?

Re: Loyalty Discount
I don't think VM will be interested in reducing that any more than it is... the OP may get better deals if they upgrade, but not reducing that package price.
VM are focused on retaining higher spending customers now, so threatening to cancel will do no good.

So what do you think the chances are of a discount when on VIP? Thanks

You'd need to speak to Customer Relations and be out of contract. You'd be in a strong position I'd of thought.

Re: Loyalty Discount
I managed to get a discount but only after phoning to cancel and ordering sky!!!
Virgin didn't care about keeping me when i cancelled but instead phoned me a week later offering me a very good deal to stay, so i cancelled the deal with Sky and stuck with them.
Which i majorly regrett now as half of the crap they told me on the phone didn't happen and after complaining 3 times to them and getting no response from them i gave up, just waiting for new contract to run out so i can actually leave them.

Re: Loyalty Discount
Well, just got round to calling them and they offered nothing at all, not even matching new customer offers! Looks like its Sky that will be getting my money!

Please explain why you think, as an existing customer, you should get a new customer incentive? They are incentives for non-customers to become customers.
Go become a new customer with another supplier if you want new customer incentives.
PS You're on VIP which is a very generous deal already.

Well they don't have any install costs so I don't understand why existing customers pay more. I always thought that you should look after your existing customers so you don't loose them? Was not looking for it being half price for a year or anything. Also should say it is VIP20 with no premium HD and a normal V box, not V HD or Tivo. They wouldn't even offer to put us on VIP50.
