the recommend a friend lie

I recommended a relative to get VirginMedia

He ordered the full package, it was confirmed that I recommended him..

After a month I called up about the £50 credit.

First call, I was told around the first month of his payment.
after over a month.
Second called, it was explained to me that it would be around two months!
After that second month..
Third call, I was told his first three payments had to clear.

Who on earth educates these poor foreigners? I am saddened to the fact that I have been lied to three times. I see no small print about two or three months!?

Is this some sort of game that is played with customers? I experienced the same when they were giving away free booze too! that took four months and three weeks!
