eBilling and main account holder problem

Has anyone else had this problem? When NTL were taken over by Virgin, somehow my wife became identified as the main account holder (name comes before mine alphabetically??) in spite of the fact that I pay the bill, I receive all the communications etc. At the time I did nothing about it as it didn't seem to have any effect. With the switch to eBilling, though, it's another matter. Although they send me the email to say my bill is available, and I used to be able to access it online, now they've switched to My Virgin Media I can't access my bill unless I log in as my wife. If I try to switch the main account holder details to mine I get an error saying that the username isn't available (my ntlworld email address). I'm guessing this is because it seems to need to set up a My Virgin Media account, and it finds I've already got one. After several lengthy conversations with Customer Services, I've been told that they can't switch the main account details to me and they don't anticipate this being fixed any time soon - my only option is to use a non-Virgin email address. I grant you, this isn't the end of the world, but it does seem completely mad that I can't use my own Virgin Media credentials to access my own bill! Has anyone got round this other than by caving in and using an external email address, by any chance?
