Ahhhh - that annoyed with VM!

Hello. So bare with me while i try to explain.....
I couldn't afford to keep all my services so i decided to cancel TV to bring down my monthly cost. I also had SKY TV.

I then got a call from the "proper" RETENTIONS people who said they could offer me deals that the "you're thinking of leaving us option" cannot. In the end i kept TV but at M+ with the asian channels.... I would also receive a HD box and hub, at no extra cost nor any activation fee. I gave notice to SKY to cancel their TV.

So the fun begins when i received no fewer than 4 Red envelopes, all with different billing details. I was only interested in the figure i had agreed with Retentions but none of the new contract letters stated this. Of course i complained via phone and web form. I even said either i get the deal i agreed or take my complaint as my notice to disconnect all services. Not a squeak from VM.

I am sure VM are busy (aren't we all), but having been a continuous customer for 11 years, i really don't think it's too much of an ask for them to get this right. I do not appreciate having to chase them, but if i don't i do get the feeling i will be overcharged, and trying to get a refund won't be so simple. Qu - is there a better option for me escalate this. Should i cancel my Direct Debit?

My apologies - if my forum members have seen this all before, but any help greatfully received. This has been on-going now for 4 weeks.

Thanks.

Re: Ahhhh - that annoyed with VM!

I bet you they will say something along the lines of "the person you spoke to was not authorised to offer you that deal for that price". What they will then try to do is possably offer you a price slightly cheaper that the lowest 1 you have the contract for and certainly not the price they agreed to on the phone in the first place.

Thats normally what happens in these cases so just stand your ground. Worst case cancell the lot, wait 3 months and re-sign asd a new customer and get a better half price deal and credit to your account like they are currently offering.
