Question Am l better off on a vip bundle.

l am looking to see if l should be on a bundle like VIP 50 but need help as to whether this would be the right deal for me so l will copy and paste my last 2 bills which are before tivo and with tivo so l would be grateful for some help so here it goes below

Because you have included alot of text it's quite difficult to fully identify what you are paying now.

It also dependent on what you use as Racing UK is mentioned in there somewhere which is an extra £20 on top of any price of bundle

But VIP 50 is £100.55 for

XXL BBI
XL Phone
XL TV
Sky Sports and Movies HD
Talk Unlimited
Talk International
Talk Mobile
and two STBs of your choosing

So whether it will be of benenfit is up to you

Ok so you are paying £123.49 at the moment

If you went onto VIP 50 with Racing UK and the third box you have you would pay £127.05

So an increase of £3.56 for a Broadband speed increase of 5x your current speed (along with the phone plan changes)

Would the 3rd box be a V plus which would then replace my normal set top box and what about activation or installation charges.

Not actually sure of additional V+ costings on VIP at the moment but I would expect there to be a cost to swap it (as you already have one in addition to the V+HD)

It might be cheaper to swap it out for a 500GB TiVo

You won't get a reduction without reducing services.

VIP 50 by design is better value than VIP 20 (or 30), to persuade people to upgrade to it

I don't want to "upgrade", at the moment VIP 50 offers me nothing and would cost me more.

can go, and I think I'm being billed for a second STB that I don't even have.

The details of the bill are as clear as mud, because there's one big "Phone, TV and BB Saving" discount (£34.95) - the bill says I'm paying £37 for 20Mb BB, but who knows how much of that discount is applied to the BB.

I tried using 'change my package' on the "My Virginmedia" website, but all it does is tell me I have to phone in. How can I work out whether I am in fact better off on a VIP bundle, or whether I should price it all separately from a range of suppliers?

To be blunt - You'll have to phone in to discuss whether the current bundle you are on is the best for you compared with other Virgin bundles

As for comparing it against other companies, surely that's easy to do - look at the total cost of what you are paying now, and what the total cost of what it would be from alternate suppliers and then see which is better
