Been with NTL since the days of Nynex my monthly bill is as follows
Telephone Line Rental £12.99
Talk Evening and Weekends £4.00
Fully Itemised Billing £0.00
TV Size: X L £26.00
Broadband Size: L £26.00

Total 68.99

I see different people getting a discount for having all three services, can anyone tell me if im entitled to get the discount.

I know someone who called retentions about leaving and going to BT. they were offered a cut down price of £18 a month if they stayed with VM.
she was waiting for the confirmation of the £18 in a letter (because we all know that they deny the offer was ever given)

no confirmation letter emerged. so she called back to ask for it again. they said they had sent it out but would send it again.

"but the offer he gave you of £18 was wrong. it's actually £25"

she told them to stick it.
they always do this. pluck a price out of the air and deny ever giving it you

But dont they record the calls?. If so the proof it there, if not how can they prove what you agreed to unless you signed a piece of paper?. If the only legally binding agreement is a signed paper or a physical verbal agreement. Anything therefor that a sales rep puts on there "system" cant be legally binding as they have not kept the original agreement (call) but simply written up another agreement (inputted into there system) with just what they claim they said and you agreed to with no digital signature by you at all.

Would bet if challenged virgin would'nt have a legal leg to stand on unless they keep the calls or send out a contract to sign before the new deal starts?.

They usually say that the person who gave you the offer was not authorised to.
(even though they're the retentions dept and they called you)

the only letter she received from them after the call was a letter confirming that she has agreed to a consumer agreement (something like that)

If they use the claiim that they were not authorised to offer that deal then anything else they put you on is not an agreed deal and cant have even the slightest legality about it. Changing an agreement after you agreed is illigal. Putting you onto another agreement you did not agree to is illigal. If any other company gave you something you did'nt ask for and tried to charge you for that does anyone really think they'd be in the right to enforce that?.
