Hows My Price looking?

Hey Folks....really considering dropping VM for freeview....but by way of comparison, how are my package prices?

Talk Unlimited
07 May - 06 June £8.00

Additional Loyalty Discount
07 May - 06 June -£3.00

Triple Combo Loyalty Discount
07 May - 06 June -£21.20

TV Size: X L
07 May - 06 June £26.00

Broadband Size: L

The crazy thing is that i never asked for a big broadband service which i'm now paying £26 for......

Any ideas on how to trim package, or negotiate deal please?

Re: Hows My Price looking?

You already have a VERY generous price and should not expect anything lower for the same services.

Your bundle of BB L, TV XL and Phone XL has a current ongoing monthly charge of £58.99 - so you have an additional discount of £10.20 over the standard bundle price.

You are not on a 'big' broadband as you are on BB L which is the current minimum service from Virgin Media. They have 20Mb, 30Mb, 50Mb and 100Mb services above your modest 10Mb service.

Re: Hows My Price looking?

Thanks RobboEdin, that may well be the case.....and i'm not doubting you, but it still seems like a lot for a phoneline that we made 48p worth of calls from last month and i would gladly dump the phoneline or exchange it toward a movie package or something.....

Is there a broadband ONLY service from VM?

if you only make 48pence worth of calls per month then why are you paying £8.00 for talk unlimited ? ... are you sure you didn't make other calls that are included in the talk unlimited package .... is the 48p shown as call charges outside of the talk unlimited package (ie. to mobiles)... you may find that you are actually making a lot more than 48pence worth of calls, you just aren't being billed for them as they are included in the package

if you really did only make 48 pence of calls then you are wasting money paying for talk unlimited

Re: Hows My Price looking?

If you are considering dropping down to Freeview then why not look first at reducing your current TV package down from XL?

Can you still get Broadband S? Thought that 10Mb was lowest now offerred

You can probably still get BB S through Retentions but the discount available will be well below what the OP already has.
