Explain Virgin Billing?
Looking on the Virgin Media website the services I have are:
Phone - £12.99
TV XL - £24.50
Broadband L - £13.50
Total - £50.99
My latest bill has:
Phone £12.99
TV XL - £26.00
Broadband L - £26.00
Triple 'Saving' £-13.00
Total - £51.99
Why the difference in charges for TV and Broadband and what is the point of a Triple 'saving' discount if I'm paying more than the individual services!

Re: Explain Virgin Billing?
Puddleglum, you should call CS to enquire why this is so.
craig, £1 is "being badly ripped off" - really?

AS VM are representing their services on the bill, by declaring a £13 discount then I would say yes, because you are not getting that discount.
Surely if I am being told I am in receipt of a discount then should I not expect a cheaper price than the headline deals
As I have posted several times before I think it is high time VM made a major push to re baseline all the accounts and have a more open pricing model.
Given there is only £1 in it surley the best thing for VM to do would be align the prices with the current "going rate" and remove the discount code, that would be clearer.
I think there are must be more people like me who are happy to pay a fair price for services but do not like being hoodwinked into thinking I they are getting a better deal than they really are.

Re: Explain Virgin Billing?
I remember when I joined VM, I had exactly the same thing. The three services I wanted were individually advertised at a total price less than the bundle containing exactly the same services which they put me on. I remember speaking to them on the phone for about twenty minutes not being able to get my head around it. I was told that I was quoting the individual prices and not the bundle prices, that's why they were cheaper. I asked if I could individually have all three services.... and was told there was no chance.
To be honest, you should expect complex billing from VM, I know I am on here a lot whingeing about that. But the bottom line is that I have just done a comparison of the services I am getting and paying monthly for from VM against Sky's standard pricing, and the money that actually leaves my account at the end of each month is substantially less than what I would have to pay Sky, to the tune of nearly £40.
So for all my moaning, I guess I am slowly learning to live with the ridiculously complex billing and provided I am happy with the final amount, then I see that as being the thing that counts.
I guess that is what you have to decide; but only once you understand that for all your efforts, you'll never change their billing and in order to retain your sanity, you should stop trying. But that took me several years, and to be fair I still don't think I am over it entirely.

Yes my bill is a bit like yours and in my mind Virgin need to show more transparency in their bills.
