Re: Bt Spring Deals** new prices **
Word of warning, do not touch bt with a bargepole seriously; just don't even think about it.
They do not care about their customers; at all.
we were with them for 6 years because it was the only option in the area we used to live, we had the engineers out a good 4 or 5 times because the internet constantly disconnected and dropped from 4.5 to 1.6 mb/s there was noise on the line which was clearly hearable phone calls got disconnected or the phone just didnt ring at all.
every time an engineer came out they said that there was no problem and charged us somewhere around £70.
The most they did was replace the faceplate of the master socket, when the internal wiring said "GPO" and phone-line were from the 'GPO' era making it at newest a 30 year old phone-line...
We got told that this is one of the best phone-lines there is because its copper and not aluminium, even though the cabling was clearly aged and the internal wiring hanging out of the box.
The BT home-hub we had 3 of in the space of 2 years. call centers go to india, while i know virgin media call centers are Indian you can actually comprehend what is being said to you; which is far from the case for BT.
Now; i know bt infinity could be a different story but I _HIGHLY_ doubt it.

Re: Bt Spring Deals** new prices **
To bring a bit of balance, I have never had an issue with BT. Any faults have been sorted very quickly, including the time contractors cut my phone cable.
I get at least 38mb down and 8mb up with infinity

Re: Bt Spring Deals** new prices **
was with bt for my phone & bb,never had any issues.
only moved to vm because sky were getting too costly & with vip20 it was not a bad deal.
vip20 in the end wasn't value for money so now on bb xl,tv m+ & phone xl.
the main bug bear is the price of 0870/0845 & line rental.
bt all inclusive calls MEANS ALL INCLUSIVE to the calls we need most.
will have to see if btvision provides what m+ does .
nothing vm is providing is value for money compared to the competition.
its only the hassle with regard the changeover & vm e-mail accounts which we will have to think about.

If that were true, Virgin Media would have no customers.

BT where do i start.
I was with them, Left them after they failed to provide a service that was worth what i was paying them. They failed to provide a working phone, They gave me a inferior broadband service and there customers service was a complete let down and the only way to get any sort of an answer was to email there version of a CEO's office but even they failed to provide good service..

Re: Bt Spring Deals** new prices **
The Infinity deal is tempting. See if my shiny new VM service sorts itself out. May need a backup.

Given that I know both devils and am using VM more through obligation than choice having had previously dumped them and replaced them with a superior Sky TV service and a slower but much more reliable ADSL service duly noted

The problem is .. many people say exactly that about Virgin!!
as 'Denphone' rightly says ... One customers experience can be totally different from another ..
