Getting Charged for calls to landlines when i shouldnt
I have just logged in to online billing to view latest bill.
I have talk unlimited so all my landlines excluding 0845 etc are free.
I have noticed though on the latest bill i have been charged so far 14p for a 2min call made to a friend on a 01639 number which is standard residential i know his landline is with 02 but it shouldnt make a difference?

Was the call longer than 1 hour? You may have been charged for 2 minutes when the call was 62 minutes?

Ebilling? Is it possible to post a screen shot of calls and service charge (obviously blank out the personal stuff) and we can have a look. Sounds like the call package wasn't active when the call was made or there isnt a call package on the line?

Did you directly dial the number, or do a 1471 callback?

On your bill, does the XL phone package service charge dates cover the day your call was made? If so then a quick call to CS and get them to refund the call charge, might have slipped through the net there.

Re: Getting Charged for calls to landlines when i shouldnt
i rang VM and they claimed that for some reason a number of mistakes are being made this month with billing and have refunded it. I have also stated to them i will be keeping a close eye on my bill and if im charged anymore i will again be making a call to them.

I remember reading about this before where they say that mistakes are being made.

Re: Getting Charged for calls to landlines when i shouldnt
Well i had the 14p back in the call charge but they still billed me 3p on top of that for VAT which they didnt refund.
It states TOTAL CALL CHARGES 17p
14p for calls
and 3p VAT.
