Making sense of my bill

I'm trying to work out whether I'm paying too much.. can't make head or tails of it but it looks like I'm paying way over the odds for some stuff.

I'm currently paying (I think - Tivo charges make the bill rather wierd this month so the bill is £115 for some reason..) £58 a month for Broadband 'S', Phone 'M' and TV XL, with two Tivos.

Telephone Line Rental £12.24
Additional Loyalty Discount -£3.00
Triple Combo Loyalty Discount -£16.00
Calldivert,Calldispl £3.60
TV Size: X L £25.00
1 Additional V Box £15.00
TiVo Monthly Rental £3.00
Broadband Size: S £18.20

£15 pcm for multiroom? :o Should be £6.50 surely?

I'd cancel the broadband S tomorrow (don't even have a modem connected) but I'd be afraid they'd try to stiff me for £600 like they did last time I tried (broadband S was a compromise when I tried to cancel 50mb). It's about the same that new customers are paying for 'L'?? How does that work? (CS told me it was under £10 a month.. of course by the time you get the first bill you're >14 days and locked in).

I know I'll never get a deal like new customers do (£10 a month for TV, Phone and BB!!) but it does seem pricey compared to the website.

Re: Making sense of my bill

I just built a new bundle like yours and get £61.59 for it. As it doesnt allow for Tivo I assume you add another £3 to it.

There for you are paying less than a new user would after 6 months.

Re: Making sense of my bill

It looks like you are only being charged one £3 Tivo fee as well. Does that answer the question of whether that charge is per box or per account?!

Re: Making sense of my bill

My tuppence worth.

You should have another discount line on your bill which reduces the extra V box cost down to £5.60 (the pre-April price increase price).

With a £19 total discount, you are doing pretty well on pricing, given your combination of services.

Any discount is generally associated with only the BB and TV elements of the bundle. £1.50 is associated with the TV XL part, reducing its charge to the quoted £23.50 and the rest to the BB. In your case, this makes the effective price of your BB S a very cheap 70p.

There will be many VIP customers who will feel aggrieved that you have TiVo already and they don't!

You've chosen to quote the cheapest bundle possible from Virgin Media and quote it as £10 per month!!!!!

The true story is that it is only BB L, TV M+ and Phone M with a starting price for six months of £10 PLUS LANDLINE at £12.99, a total of £22.99. The price then increases to £32.99 for a further year to fulfill the 18 month contract.

I know this doesn't help, but I just wanted to say that I read the title of this thread... and laughed.
