Pricing Difference

Hi Guys I am currently considering adding Sky sports collection to my services which are:

TV XL
BB M
Phone XL

I currently pay around £60 for this seervice but have noticed that I can get all channels through Sky for the same price I am paying now which gets me all the sports and movies and all the HD channels.

I dont really want to leave Virgin as have never had a problem with them, but this is a very good offer. Do you think they would match it?
I am not interested in Movies.

I make it £43.50 for tv skysports and movies
£10 for HD
£7.50 For Broadband
£5 for talk unlimited (to match your xl phone)
£9 for ESPN (to match your xl tv)
£10 for multiroom (looking at your signature)

which makes it: £85

privateb, I was on the same lineup as you, with a V+ box and an additional V box, paying approx £63 per month.

I rang the nice people at retentions, and pointed out that new customers got a better deal (XL broadband) for the same price - they upped me to XL BB, and reduced the overall price slightly.

It never hurts to ask (nicely).

I pay less than that for TV XL
2 x HD V+ boxes
BB XL
and Phone XL

Thing you need to call and see what discounts you can get, might be that you are on an old plan but they don't tell you this as their making more money out of you.

Plus if you go to SKY you'll have to put up with rubbish slow ADSL that don't give you anywhere near the speeds you pay for

I thought additional boxes are only meant to cost £5.50 a month. It seems to cost allanelmo £15. What's all that about?

exactly mate no one person has same charges. had probs past 18 month with broadbad not working etc got that sick email the ceo yesterday. engineer coming out to check everthing and then i am to be inform tomorrow afternoon of wat will be happening. too many probs to go into here also sent him my bill. will see what happens, quickest virgin have ever got back to me
