change account name

I need to know if a vm account can be transferred from my name to a partners name due to separation and can this be done with a virgin mobile phone account as well.

You ring up and ask for a Transfer of Responsibility form and they will send one out for you and the charge is £20.

Now if the is an email address on the account this will be disabled and will no longer work as they will receive a new account number and a @virginmedia.com email address if required.

You will have to ring 789 from the mobile and ask.

Losing email addresses seems a bit unnecessary just to change a name on an account, especially with no chance of getting an @blueyonder or @ntlworld one back

If the new named person wants to keep the existing accounts then both parties call in together pass DPA and we can do a Move and Transfer from one account to the other.

In cases like this though if the previous party had the main email address the best thing is just to take the new email accounts and forget about the old addresses as the can be issues with account security..
