Review of my package - paying too much?

Hello all

I sat down the other night and was browsing the Virgin Media website and saw that some of the prices seemed far cheaper than what I was paying....

My current package is:

- Line Rental 20 March - 19 April £11.00
- Talk Unlimited 20 March - 19 April £7.95
- Loyalty Pack Bb/ Phone/TV C 20 March - 19 April £-22.50
- TV Size: X L 20 March - 19 April £23.00
- 1 Add Set Top Box(es) 20 March - 19 April £15.00
- V+ HD Box 20 March - 19 April £10.00
- Add Set Box(es) Discount 20 March - 19 April £-10.00
- Broadband Size: L 20 March - 19 April £25.00
- Movies4,Movies5,Sports1,Sports2 20 March - 19 April £27.50
- Ebilling discount £-1.00

So I'm paying £85.95

Looking at the website Broadband size L is £12.50 per month plus £11.99 phone line rental. I'm paying £25.00 per month plus £11.00 line rental so as far as I am concerned am overpaying by £11.51 there.

Also V+ is now free with XL TV. So that is an extra £10 I'm paying

I also saw on the VM website about "Tailor made deals" for existing customers. I've tried speaking with VM twice now who didn't really know what I was talking about, and thought that I "already had a big discount". They also categorically said that "Broadband L is not £12.50 per month". I disagreed, but got nowhere.

The best I could do was get the £10 charge for the V+ removed, but they were even cheecky with that saying that because I didn't pay a fee for my original V+ (which I've had pretty much since it came out) I'd have to pay a £30 contribution to remove the £10 per month charge....!!

Does anyone else think I am overpaying?

I'm not unhappy with my package or service, just unhappy that as a loyal customer I seem to be paying over the odds compared to new customers.

Thanks

No you aren't

BB L shows on the bill as £25 for everyone - the price advertised online includes a £12.50 discount.

In that case you have got a good deal - it should normally be £75 to change over

No

You are paying £85.95, a new customer for the same services would pay £91 so even without swapping the V+ pricing you are paying £5.05 less than a new customer. If you do do the V+ pricing change you'll be paying £15.05 less
