Real world cost of upgrading

My current billing/services is as follows:

Telephone Line Rental 18 March - 17 April £11.00
Loyalty Pack B B/ Phone/TV B 18 March - 17 April £-19.50
Talk Weekends 18 March - 17 April £0.00
Virgin Media 24seven 18 March - 17 April £0.00
TV Size: X L 18 March - 17 April £23.00
V+ Box 18 March - 17 April £0.00
Broadband Size: L 18 March - 17 April £25.00

Would anyone be able to work out, after discounts, what the real cost of upgrading BB will be?

Thanks

Patience is a virtue, as the saying goes... if you come back insisting someone replies to your post, i.e. 'Is that no one then?', people will ignore your post, or you will get their backs up.

I'm a fairly patient chap with most things, but after nearly 24 hours and 75+ views, I'd would have expected at least a whisper. A gentle bump never hurts

Re: Real world cost of upgrading

wont it just be £10 added as BB XL is £35 not £25?

P.S. Why dont you just call C.S. There is no obligation to actually do it?

Regards

Graeme

Re: Real world cost of upgrading

Thanks for your response Graeme,

This where I get confused. From the threads I have read, various people and services attract different discount schemes dependant on the service options taken and length of customer loyalty (and in some cases how loud you shout ) Virgin are not known for thier clear pricing policy.

My experience with customer services is that they have a script to follow and that script does not always cater for non standard questions or situations, hence the question here.

As an aside, is it me or the does cost of XL (un-discounted) BB seem to be way out of step with other suppliers?

Re: Real world cost of upgrading

It looks like u have some discounts.

Also with regards pricing. It's hard to take it into account due to package bundles etc. Hence why you have credits on your bill. It's something to do with the billing system virgin use. where broadband had to be the full cost and then discounted using a credit. L broadband is £20 on it's own and xl is £30 on it's own. But then again hard to compare against other providers as everyone else u have to have an active line and pay line rental.

Cofusing isn't it?

Do the discounts increase/decrease if I change BB rates? If so what would I end up paying if nothing else in my package changed?

I don't use the Virgin telephone line and do have a BT line installed and active so if I were to cancel the Virgin phone and BB then went to O2 as I have a mobile with them, then I may end up actually saving money. But that is muddying the waters of my original question

Re: Real world cost of upgrading

You can have either a loyalty discount or a standard bundle discount, not both, so the cost of your triple bundle in total would be £54 on the current standard pricing. Not sure what the Virgin 24seven thing is though. How much do you pay in total at the minute for all your services?

Hi Ben,

I'm not sure what the 24seven thing is either . My latest bill comes to £39.50 post loyalty discount.
