Contract
My contract ends at the end of March.I sent them an email about wishing to cancel.
I then rang them the next day and they gave me a slightly better deal .
Am i now under another year contract by ringing them.Is it binding just by a phone call.
I have now had an email reply from my first email, saying if i wish to cancel i will have to let them know after the date the contract runs out which is the end of March.

Re: Contract
If you accepted a better deal by phone after you sent your email then yes you will have started a new contract.. Not sure if there's a cooling off period for existing customers but I'm sure that someone soon will be around to tell you

Re: Contract
Thanks, the email did say sorry you are leaving and that they could not offer a cheaper deal, but the guy on the phone gave me one.
I thought the days where there was no cooling off period were long gone.

I think "distance" selling laws apply in these cases, and therefore you're entitled to a cooling off period.

Re: Contract
Ring up CS, ask for the new contract to be cancelled (no idea why you agreed to it) then make sure that it's all on your account..

Re: Contract
It will be quicker if you phone them - however Customer Relations who deal with account disconnections - are now not open until tomorrow

Re: Contract
Just because you send an email doesn't mean to say that they got it (hence most places ask for recorded delivery)
Speak to CS and you can always ask them to confirm back to you (I think they should be able to send you an email with the cancellation details on)
