This site isn't owed by Virgin Media, but some of the VM employees do give up some of their personal time to help out. So in effect its up to them who they tell they work for VM.
Cable Forum is totally independent and ran by an admin team who aren't employed by VM (iirc)

I don't feel the need to personally.
In any case, if I were ever to be offering assistance, I wouldn't expect someone to believe that just because my profile states that I am VM staff that I should be dealt with directly, I would expect everything to go through a mod/admin to keep everybody right.
