- Is this a good deal? -
My contract ends on may 4th so I phoned up Virgin and this is what I have have now:-
TV: XL
BroadBand: L
Phone: M
= £39.50 (with an extra £1.25 for paper bills so £40.75)
Now the person on the phone said that I would be paying that regardless if I took the £45 instal of v+ or not so I was wondering if I could get a better deal or if this will be the price I am stuck with?
Thanks for your time

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
Considering that lot should cost you £47.25 a month then yes it is a good deal

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
Ah wow thanks. I'll add the extra v-box then and I will still be paying less than I should.
I would've liked to have done the paperless billing it's just I hate using my credit card online :S

You don't have to use your credit card online with e-billing.

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
That's exactly what e-billing is
You keep whatever way you like to pay and just have the bills online instead of on paper

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
The guy is meant to phone back around 10am tomorrow so if I mention that I want to just keep direct debit that should be fine?

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
Well I'm getting -
TV: XL
BroadBand: L
Phone: L
= £40.75
after price increases (was £36). This may very well be a older deal (but less than 12 months anyway) as every year I ring up to get a deal that new customers are getting.
I'm not bothered by the additional 12 months contract just like with my mobile phone contract.
Do e-billing its as detailed as a paper bill really except I don't lose them down the back of the sofa!

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
It's all relevant anyway as the bloke never phoned back so now I will have to contact virgin again and i'll probably offered something else instead (grr)
I really wanted to deal with this one bloke as he seemed genuine enough

Re: - Is this a good deal? -
Just thought i'd update I finally got through to the guy I was dealing with and I ended up with a better deal well L phone anyway for £39.50 and with the extra v-box im paying £44.50 a month.
He even walked me through how to set up the paperless billing on the phone and I was well impressed (for once).
My installation is until the 9th though so one downside but still a good deal
