v+ £30 install fee ?

Apologies to mods if this is in wrong place.
Had an eng round to fix problem with sammy box, while on site eng remarked that I can get v+ install for 30 quid if i keep my old box and pay 5 quid per month for old box. Any body out there had a similar offer ?

Re: v+ £30 install fee ?

It's £75 if you keep the existing box running @ £5 per month. The engineer doesn't know what he is talking about

Re: v+ £30 install fee ?

Thnx for the reply BenMcr, eng seemed pretty genuine in what he said, thought I'd feel the water before I rang CS and asked for the install. looks like I will have to send the pups out to work to raise the £75 needed to record heroes and IACGMOOH.

Re: v+ £30 install fee ?

Just had a thought. How much do you pay for your cable services? If you are close to either £65 or £85 a month, the tech may have been on about either the XL Plus or the VIP Bundle. THEN the install is £30

Re: v+ £30 install fee ?

Looking at what services you have you might wanna go on to XL Plus and then you can get v+ for £30.00
