New Pricing?

Does anyone know if Virgin have recently changed their broadband pricing for new customers?
Seems to be now

£9 2mb (£4.50 first 12 months)
£16 4mb (£8 first 3 months)
£20 20mb (£10 first 3 months)

I'm sure when I looked the other day they were £18, £25 and £37 respectively.

If so, then do any of the staff who post here know if existing customers will be moved to the new prices or if they can get them if they ring retentions?

Makes the 3 for 30 offer seem pretty silly too

L TV, M phone and Medium BB will cost £27 if bought seperately, but £30 if bought as a 'best possible deal'

Hi Colin, welcome to CF, looking at your example there of TV-L and BB-M and Phone M I think if brought separately it would cost £39.50pm.
BB-M = £18
TV-L = £11.50
Phone M= £11.00

The prices you quoted earlier are broadband prices with phone package M.

Re: New Pricing?

thanks for the reply

If you are taking all three services then surely you would get those prices as you are taking the phone package and broadband?

Re: New Pricing?

Those offers are for when you ONLY take the phone service with broadband. If you have TV as well or don't take the phone, different bundle prices apply

Which to confuse matters further is billed as £18 for broadband and £2 for phone line (for me at least), whereas this page

http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...l?vmsrc=vmhpld

implies the full price for broadband would be £9, plus £11 for the phone line.

Aside: I've been on 2 for £20 for nearly a year now; would I be able to get 2 for £15.50 or is it definitely for new customers only?

I got the £15.50 deal on BB+Phone and I have been with them for years, I also have TV-XL which pushes my bill up higher, but P+BB was being charged at £15.50. Its now £22.50 because I upgraded to BB-L, luckily just before the price rises.

I am billed £11 for phone:M and £18 for BB:M and then get a £9 discount. This is all to do with the way Virgin got lumbered with loads of different billing systems.

I believe that the pricing on the website just reflects one way of looking at the same thing, 2 for £20 phone and BB.
