What should we be paying?

Hi i need some help, year ago in March talked my dad into getting the VIP package which was successful!

Anyway since then hes left my mum and moved out, hes still paying all the bills but mentioned hes not happy paying all that money for the TV and Broadband!!

So my question is when i ring up to get it reduced seeing as the contract is up in March what should we be paying seeing my mum and i will be paying for it.

We want to keep the V+ box and the STB, have all channels expect the sports and movies and reduce the broadband to 4mb (being upped to 10Mb soon) plus what ever phone is the cheapest.

Can you help with what options they will give me when i ring up!

Thanks

Not sure about the exact prices, but the VM website is fairly easy to navigate, however there are two points to consider -
1. VM will only talk to the account holder, which I guess is your dad.
2. You are probably on a 1yr minimum contract, so you probably can't do anything until March.
Once the year is up, you are probably best getting him to terminate the contract and you Mum setting a new one up on a 3 for £30 + V+ uplift (or similar).

Well if i want to cancel i can ring up in Feb to give my "1 months notice" so should be able to get a deal then for the next 12 months.

As for them only speaking to my dad i just ring up and pretend to be my dad. Im the one who sorts everything like this out as they havent got a clue!!

Re: What should we be paying?

You will need the password off your dad, VM will charge £20 to change the contract to your name, alternatively keep the same account & change the direct debit to you & your moms bank account, needs account password for this. If you are still in contact with your dad then he would do surely this for you.
Beware of canceling an account, you can't order a new account from the same address with the old account still active & you will be cut off until the new account activates. This is happening to me right now as my daughter has moved away & it was her account, I tried to get it as a new account to get the special discounts, they signed me up yesterday with new account to start with engineer visit Feb 13th, this morning no TV no B/band until Feb 13th, had to spend all morning on the phone to get it back on, only alternative is to chang account name to mine £20 fee, can't now get new subscriber deals

Aso it appears that if you cancel then when it activates you have to wait a month to reorder
