Help! VirginMedia Bill!
Hi,
I have signed up for the Broadband in July and since then only paid 17 pounds. However, when I signed up there was a problem with my address and for some reason I have 2 broadband accounts now. I have noticed that in September when I got charged about 50 pounds for setting up the second account and since then paid 17 pounds and 25 pounds every month. I tried to explain this to them on the phone but they did not really understand.
I sent them a letter in October and I was told on the phone that I would get a reply within 30 days. Still haven't heard from Virgin Media and I still got overcharged. This is when I cancelled my direct debit for the 25 pound account in December (the one which is not being used).
End of December I finally got through to a person at Virgin Media who could speak English and she foudn both of the accounts. She said she will refund the 100 pound which have been overcharged but needs to speak to her manager first because she can only refund 30 pounds. I said ok no problem but today I got an email from Virgin Media saying that they will take out money of my account again via Direct Debit. This time, from the right account, but instead of 17 pounds I now pay 25 pounds!! And I still have no refund of 100 pounds! I am out of ideas now of what to do and Virgin Media are just charging me more and more money. I tried sending them 2 letters (no reply) and phoned them more than 20 times by now. I just can't get any results and would be very very thankful if someone could give me some advice. Thanks a lot,
Simon
