Newbie Billing question (regarding vip package)

hello everyone my name's sebastiaan and i found this website by chance. And would like to ask a question which someone can hopefully explain in a clear and simple way.Because if i ask VM CS i just get a headache and more confused than i already am

Anyway on to the question!

I recently took out the VIP package (install date 4-09-2007) and during that call the person on the other end was talking about 2 different bills to be merged into 1 aka from 04-09 onwards VIP ,But as he explained it i will have to pay for the services i have used up to 03-09 , now the thing that confuses me is that i believe i have already done that with my July bill (11 August - 10 September) so wouldn't that already be payed ? And it's just the phone bill that gets added to the VIP bill i will receive ? Or will i get charged a full month (£54,50)+ phone + vip ? Because i also already payed my august bill (11 September - 10 October)

And i am just completely lost here haha

I hope someone can help me and sorry if i confused anyone! Because i know i am now :P

Cheers!

Re: Newbie Billing question (regarding vip package)

Firstly to CF, on the billing side, the usual scenario is confusion on your first bill after an upgrade, it will be sorted by your second bill via credits, so look out for them, if anything seems amiss after phone CS who i'm sure will help you get it sorted.

Re: Newbie Billing question (regarding vip package)

As Roy says, it should all sort itself out on the second bill.

You should be credited with the advance payment you had previously paid to cover from the VIP install date to 10th September. Then re-billed from your VIP install date at the VIP rate.

Your bill will look confusing to say the least ( VIP billing ends up charging you for all the separate items then giving credits to bring the separate items in line with the VIP bundle) but the things to watch out for are:-
  • The periods your bills cover.
  • The actual net amount you end up paying.

If you try to sort out what you have been billed before Virgin attempts to do a reconciliation between your old services and new then you will send yourself up the wall.

Re: Newbie Billing question (regarding vip package)

so if im right it's going to be like :

september bill : £54,50 + phone costs + VIP ?
October bill : VIP - £54.50 ?

i'm just wondering because i don't want to be shocked with a huge bill and if I don't tell VM they won't sort it out,as i have seen before when they tried to charge me 20 odd pounds a month for nothing!
