Strange letter from NTL

Hi,

We received a strange letter from NTL the other day. It says that our broadband speed will be upgraded from our current 1.5MB to 3MB.

All well and good, except we were never on the 1.5MB tarrif. We had the 750K tarrif and have been upgraded to the 2MB tarrif.

So, should I ignore the letter? I'm concerned that I'm suddenly going to be paying for a service I don't want.

Has anyone else gotten a letter with the wrong speed details?

I've received the same one. I was thinking of writing back for clarification, but maybe someone here can shed light easier...and quicker!

Thanks Nemesis! 3MB/s would be great (2MB/s is already v. nice!), but it seems too good to be true, so hard on the heels of the upgrade from 750 to 2000.
As speeds get faster though, maybe ntl will have to think of offering some kind of counter, so we've no excuse for exceeding the 30GB/m guideline.
Or maybe the cap will increase, too?

If the letter came from NTL why is this in Telewest billing and installation discussion I was expecting to read that you was a Telewest customer and didn't know why you had a bill from NTL.
