Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
Just wondering as every single person I know who has had NTL installed or a package change has had billing subsequently screwed up.
And true to form, I got the free BB sped increase last month, and you guessed it, a 'second STB charge' has suddenly appeared on the bill...
It's hardly rocket science - I have to wonder if it's deliberate policy as I'm sure some people never notice.....

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
No, ntl has made errors on my bills.
I complain nicely, point out the errors, get the full name of the person, and their supervisor, and advise them that I will be checking my bill carefully to ensure the correction is made, and the error is not repeated.
It only happened once.

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
@ Mike Harrison , I have a vague recollection that it was something to do with getting billed in advance instead of being billed in arrears , might be wrong though

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
Dare I say this....have had variations of NTL ..TV.Phone,Dial-Up,BB...for 7 yrs..including moving house..and have never found my bill to be wrong!!!...
On the 2/3 occasions I have queried it I had not read the bill correctly...
Always because of their strange way of charging and debiting on the same item....
I am still being charged/debited for a 2nd STB they collected many months ago....

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
Had NTL for years and changed packages many times.. Not had any problems with the billing apart from very high phone bill from teenager abusing it. NTL was helpful after the mods on here put me intouch with the right person.
No complaints... about billing..

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
I'm confident I will receive a bill next week. For an account that was disconnected in September 04... Like poster #2, I call them every month, and every month they tell me it's sorted, and nothing changes. Amateurs...

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
I got my latest bill today, I readded direct debit last month after I had removed it following a bad bill which I refused to pay by direct debit.
Seems they didnt take the money out last month for whatever reason (money is in bank), the current bill says thank for you paying by direct debit blah blah and it will be taken out on x date. I havent got away with it I have a £100 balance 60 for last month and 40 for this month. But I got no letter of warning for last months unpaid bill so I am wondering because I am on direct debit the unpaid trigger didnt kick in or something, my sister got who doesnt pay by direct debit got a warning after only 4 days and cutoff the week after.
The 2nd problem is the £40.
The bill seems riddled with errors again.
I got tv £3.50 phone £11.10 internet £13.73 (im on 2mbit no idea how they worked this one out) total £28.33 then £12.26 in phone calls. to make the £40.
Then in the box below I will miss out all the 0 charges.
base pack 3.50
5p talk plan 0.60 (upgraded during month)
line rental 9.50
5p talk plan 1.00 (2nd time usual ntl problem when changing a package)
broadband 3mbit 32.92 credit
broadband 2mbit 21.66
broadband 2mbit 24.99 (2nd time)
Now I downgraded to 2mbit 2 days after my last billing date, following the customer service advice to not change bb packages not in middle of month.
For 3 months in a row I have broadband charges listed twice, once for month gone and once for month coming and the last 2 times they have issued credits to offset the extra cost. This month they have seem to done the same with the 5p call plan although I wont ring up for £1. All in all since the billing system was changed I think around 1 in 2 of my bills have been bad. This reduced bb bill for this month I see as justice for the £17 ntl still have from me from their last screw up.

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
My bill is paid now manually.
NTL rang up today regarding my outstanding balance and the tone of the voice was a lot more settled after I told them I was on direct debit, apperently they got problems with direct debit payments not been processed at the moment so I paid manually to avoid the same problem this month. There is now also a note on my account regarding the double billing I have been getting when I change packages, I am glad I got someone who was honest on the phone it makes a big difference with me.

Re: Has NTL EVER got anyone's billing right......
Things were OK till I moved house, then the problems started... things got so bad that I ditched NTL for all but broadband. That 3MB is just so nice and I'm such a bandwidth whore. Eventually, when they screw this one up, I'll go ADSL.
