That's our NTL bill. I can see they've charged for part of the month @ 300k, and part at 1Mb - but why another month in advance - it's ludicrous.

How did you go about getting the upgraded speed? Did you call CS, use the online tier change site or did you just wait?

I was on 300k, and the online tier changer wasn't working, so it was a call to CS.

Sounds like someone has fouled up then, best get back on the phone to them or see if one of our helpful (and competent) NTL staffers here will look into it for you

I mentioned this in another thread http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...8&postcount=14 . It would appear that broadband customers in the old Diamond Cable area based on Nottingham have always been charged in arrears for their cable modem service and they are being switched to payment in advance when upgrading to the new speeds. So if you are in that area you can expect a larger than normal bill on your next one after your upgrade and you won't be getting a credit for the double charge the month after.

Looks like I'll be giving them a call to ask them why we weren't informed when we were upgraded. No surprise that they didn't have the foresight to say, really.

whenever i have altered my services with ntl , i have always asked them what the billing implications would be , i have never been offered them though , sorry i know it aint going to help you , i just thought i would stick my in
