Angry Duplicate Payment!!

My mum paid my phone bill for me on 4th March, which was a friday, on my bill i have just got in, they have taken the same amount out again on the 7th March! i know that puts me upto date with my bill, but technically i still have one outstanding, my mum paid the bill over the phone with her credit card, which i always thought, that once payment has gone through, your credit card details are encrypted, i have tried to contact cs without success, they are obviously busy, specially with it being a monday, i don't mind the fact that i am upto date, but it's my mum's credit card that has been used to duplicate the payment, will she have to ring them and tell them or do i have to do it?
If they refund the card i will be a month behind with my bill from last month, so will they give me more time to pay it? they did this in december, they credited my account by £90-00, then took it off me without telling me, and wanted the money straightaway! as that left me £90-00 in arrears. From what the girl in cs told me, the £90-00 should have gone off someone else's account! not mine.Computer errot they said! yeh, right!!!!

Re: Duplicate Payment!!

MMM, Ntl, well, what can i say?? (not printable on here really!)
I have tried to contact them regarding the duplicate payment, to no avail, so i left it over weekend, and thought i would phone them today, anyway, they cut me off!! today, at 11-30AM.
I managed to contact credit control, as that is the only dept you can get hold of when you are "downgraded" i explained the situation, and the girl i spoke to said that the person who had paid the via the credit card was the one who asked for the payment to be returned! ********! itold her that my mum wouldn't do that, it's never happened before, so why now? then she said that i owed £150-00, which obviously i do now, i don't dispute that, but i asked her why ntl hadn't contacted me regarding this matter, to which she replied it wasn't them who had made the mistake, it was the credit card comapny, NO! it would've been the guy who took the payment i said, anyway i asked her to re-connect me under the circumstances, and she refused, unless i paid over the phone, which i couldn't do today, i told her this was the second time my bill has been mixed up, through the fault of ntl, and as a gesture of good will, could they let me pay half of the bill, to which came the reply of NO!
I told her i am making a formal complaint as of today.
What is annoying me, is the fact that they haven't got the balls to admit their mistake, i know i owe the money, but at the end of the day why can't they meet me half way so to speak and let me pay half, and just re-connect me? cos i know what will happen, they will charge me reconnection charges on my next bill, which will bump it up even more.
Anyway, enough of me moaning, once i get totally straight, i think i will go back to BT.
Just thought i would update this, do any of you think i am in my right to ask them for more time to pay this bill? or am i wrong? Thanks, Jane.
