Cancelled modem - now on my mums account?

Hi, my mum has an ntl phone line and I had a cable modem *on a seperate account* at the same address.

I moved recently and wrote to cancel the cable modem service.

They said they had done it but my mum has just had a bill and it appears that they are now charging her for it, (instead of switching it off).

Im on hold to disconnections now, has anyone else experienced this? Surely they cannot add things to her account without asking her?

Will she have to pay the bill?

I checked and they *have* cancelled my account.

Whoops, this got sorted, should have replied myself!

She had to ring em and complain but they said that they would adjust her bill.

Weird thing is, modem still works! I assume its MAC will bet kicked off at some point!
