EA Downloader
Just bought BF2 Euro Force and downloaded the EA Installer.
But when I try to connect I just get a non-descript error saying Core in the Title Bar with an Okay button. Tried Help and get the same.
Have uninstalled and re-installed but to no avail. Any ideas ??

Re: EA Downloader
That's what fixes it apparently.. I think the webbrowser ocx within IE7 is different to the one in IE6 - therefore EA's downloader not recognizing it properly..
I get errors when trying to program with that ocx that comes with IE7 also.. something weird..
So in short - the core web accessing & downloading OCX within IE7 is different to the one in IE6 - which is what EA downloader uses.

Go Control Panel > Add or remove Programs > Then click "Add/Remove windows components"
A box should come up saying "Windows Components wizard"... Uncheck everything but IE and click next. Then continue on until it has finished uninstalling.
To redownload IE - go to microsoft's IE download page - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...s/default.mspx
You should be able to download it from there.
