Im having control issues with Mame32. I have a Joypad which I want to use for the games, i have selected it in the Default Options and everything works except i cant go "Up" in the games i want to play. Instead I have to press "Tab" and alter the Player options to..

The game i want to play then works but its just a hassle to keep doing this before playing, Basically Mame doesnt recognise the option to go Up so i have to manually set it.
Ive googled this and found nothing helpfull, its driving me nuts. Anyone got any brainstorms?
yeah the joypad was configuered correct. i found that after i changed the settings in Mame by using the tab key it applied to all games so its all ok now. thanx guys.
