Bioshock problem!

I recently bought a copy of Bioshock to play again,( Genuine copy i might add!) and i can`t install it.
It installs and then tries to update and fails ever time.
Running windows xp with 2 gig of ram and a q6600 cpu.
Any ideas please?
Thanks.

Re: Bioshock problem!

Updates as in uses an update on the disk? or connects to the net for an update?

If you can see which version of the retail you have etc it may help also.

Thanks for the reply mate.
It runs through the complete installation and then says `Downloading the latest etc, etc`so it`s downloading it from the net. see screenshot.
Version is DVD, but not sure of a version number.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Bioshock problem!

Ahh right..

If it fails there, you could always manually download a patch.. but may mean blocking the installer from accessing the net, which you can do easily with Windows Firewall if it is up and running.

I always get my patches at dlh.net

Sorry for the late reply.

EDIT: Forgot to add direct link to patch
