Frankly, that is both an odd name for a thread, and an odd name for a game.

Dear Esther sounds like an interactive story. Reading through the description on the site, it sounds like in terms of gameplay it's like an old style text adventure, but with with excellent graphics provided courtesy of the Source engine.

The idea is the player is on a deserted, but haunted, island, and needs to explore the island to find out what happened..

The game could be a load of crap, but it certainly looks like it could be interesting. At the very least the music and graphics are beautiful.

Very beautiful indeed and looks like the sort of game I like but until I see what the game play looks like I'm dubious.

After all most people dislike adventure games preferring RPG or shootem ups or beatem ups so online games don't suit me..
