SOE network down for pc users

Other than PS3 network down the SOE network is also down so I can't play DC online or everquest 2

Sony must have been really hit hard to be down this long....I'm wondering as sony haven't stated this, they say some people debit/credit card information may have been stolen so the question I ask is.

Can I still play the game using the same card or will sony now remove them from the database?

Has anyone still being charge DD for the game as its been down a month and I was wondering if sony are still taking monthly payments from people?

Re: SOE network down for pc users

not sure about this, but Sony say they aren't sure whether card details have been taken, but its possible. They are offering identity theft insurance for free, and PSN users are being given a months free PS+.

You wont be able to know whether your card details are being removed, Sony hasn't said anything about this, but the new systems they are implementing are far more secure than they previously were.

To answer your question about payments, no, all systems Sony were using are off-line while they upgrade their network and add security features, so payment wont be taken.

Once the systems are back up, you should be able to use the same card, even if the card details are deleted from Sony's database, you will be able to add them again.

<<< Is waiting for the crap storm when people realise they lost 2 weeks game time in DC Online :P

And the ensuing hoards of people demanding the game time back.

Re: SOE network down for pc users

Sony have said they expect to have the PSN back by the 31st May. It's expected that the SOE will be around the same time. Also PSN users are being compensated with a couple of free game downloads.

I think SOE users are being given a free month plus an extra day for every day it has been offline.

Re: SOE network down for pc users

Yeah its pretty good, I dont have a PS3 opted to put more money into my pc instead as I use that for gaming.

Running 2 sli'd geforce 260's without problems at the moment, not in a rush to upgrade to DX 11 at the moment.
