Unless it was specifically required by a game then why install it. Unless the game server requires connecting clients to be running the anticheat software what is the point of it?
Systems like Punkbuster are long established and integrated into the remote server as well as the client. Punkbuster is usually integrated into the game server and client software, and you'd be prompted to install the client as part of the game install. Any other third party stuff is perhaps vulnerable to giving a false impression of safety when it might be anything but?
