I've only had my Android phone a few days, but like some of the iPhone game titles I've seen on a few friends phones, I've been really impressed with some of the games available.
So far I've had a play of the following (Android versions)
Angry Birds (and AB Seasons) - (Both free from Android Marketplace) How could I not include this! Having played it on a friends iPhone in the past I had to grab this one. Only down side to the android edition is the poorly placed ads in the most recent versions, this can be cured though by stopping data transmission. A paid for version is on the cards. Addictive title that has that "one more go" thing going on.
Zenonia ($2.99 from Marketplace) Is a Zeldaesque RPG, a title that also graces the iPhone, DS and PSP. Any fan of this genre will enjoy this little romp especially at the reasonable price. Music can grate a little at times, but I'm enjoying the story and game so far. Zenonia 2 has also been released recently for iOS and Android.
Dungeon Defenders - Is a hybrid tower defense/MMO game that features cross platform gaming with players on the iPhone and PC versions. It uses the unreal engine, and has some cracking graphics. I've not played this a great deal as yet, but it's one I feel you could get quite absorbed into. I believe it's coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network too.
Mobile gaming has certainly come a long way over the last couple of years, anyone have any recommendations be it for iPhone or Android devices? And do you think that with some of the excellent titles coming out on both platforms that the traditional hand held game price tags could now be under greater threat from massively cheaper but equally impressive titles?
Look forward to your replies
