Exclamation Tip's For Potentially Improving Performance On Black Op's On PC

I am aware that not everybody is enjoying Black Op's either due to the gameplay or down to the, performance of there PC when playing with regards to Lag, Stutter, Crashes and Freezing etc below are some setting's that I found that helped me, and seem to have also helped [NTHW] Bill C, [NTHW] Scary Paul and [NTHW] Ramrod since doing the changes listed below there games seem to be running much smoother and better.

Do the following and see what happen's:

Open the config_mp.cfg with wordpad located in usually:

c: Program File's (x86)/ Steam/ Steam App's/ Common/ Call Of Duty Black Op's/ Players

Then Press CTRL + F and type the following it

1: snaps when found change from "20" or "25" to "30"

2: maxpackets change from "20 - 50" to "100"

3: multigpu change from "0" to "1" or from "1" to "0"

4: mulltithreadeddevice (usually below the gpu) from "0" to "1" or "1" to "0"

5: maxfps from "80" or "90" to "200"

The FPS change although your card may not use the added allowance, it will give it room to allow it to max the performance of the card in the game.

My card Nvidia GTX 480 should give 200fps+ but it sit's at anything from 90 to 230 and fluctuates like crazy but I get no lag or stutter, relating to the performance of my pc due to changing the setting for the Max FPS the game can utitlise the full performance potential of the card.

There are a few issue's which have been there since day 1 and after about a week or 2, when I changed those setting's it stopped almost 90% I do get some lag and stutter but that is mainly server related etc.

If it help's please post back and let me know I have posted it on the Call Of Duty Forum, but as with that forum now all I got was abuse by the children that have infested it.

I have posted this on some other forum's and have a few more to post it on, I am not spamming but simply just informing you of what helped me and a few other's and it is here for other's, and it may help you to get your game running better.

Hope it help's people!
